Self Care Part 7 - A full night to yourself

Now that we've talked SO much about self-care and shared some awesome DIY recipes, let's map out some ideas for an at-home spa night! Feel free to pick and choose the parts here that would work for you or that interest you and get planning your night! 

 

1. Set the Mood:

  • Dim the lights or use soft lighting like candles or fairy lights.
  • Play soothing music or nature sounds to create a calming atmosphere.

2. DIY Face Mask:

  • Create a homemade face mask using ingredients from your kitchen, like honey, yogurt, oatmeal, or mashed fruits.
  • Apply the mask, relax, and let it work its magic on your skin.

3. Relaxing Bath:

  • Fill your bathtub with warm water and add a few drops of essential oil (lavender, chamomile, or eucalyptus) or a bath bomb if you have one.
  • Soak and unwind, bringing a book or playing calming music if desired.

4. Hand and Foot Soak:

  • Fill a basin with warm water and a few drops of essential oil.
  • Soak your hands and feet, and use a gentle scrub or pumice stone to exfoliate.

5. Aromatherapy:

  • Use an oil diffuser or a bowl of hot water to disperse a few drops of your favorite essential oil throughout the room.

6. DIY Sugar Scrub:

  • Mix sugar and olive oil (or coconut oil) to create an exfoliating scrub for your body.
  • Gently massage onto your skin to remove dead cells and leave your skin soft.

7. Relaxing Teatime:

8. Meditation or Deep Breathing:

10. Cozy Attire:

  • Put on comfortable and cozy loungewear or a plush robe to enhance the spa-like experience.

11. Journaling:

  • Reflect on your spa night experience in your journal. Write about how each activity made you feel and any insights you gained.
